WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY LIFE?
We get so lost in the word itself that sometimes we lose the purpose ;-) . This question triggers so many people, like I was triggered in the past, into thinking:
“Oh God what is my purpose”
"What Am I doing?"
“AM I supposed to be doing something else!”
And of course we all have so much data, information, courses also for finding our true purpose so that we find happiness, fulfillment etc, the knowledge sometime helps and sometimes confuses. Finding happiness, contentment...HMMM!, at this time let us leave aside the question as to how many really find that.
What I would rather ask everyone to ponder is the point “WHAT IF
THERE IS NO PURPOSE?. I am sure a lot of us would go
I can’t possibly believe that!
This is $%^&#@#T.
Ok ok, let us tone this down a bit and rather ask the question “WHAT IF EVERYTHING IS A PURPOSE”. What I mean to say is instead of having a specific purpose of being a healer, teacher, manager, assistant or whatever, everything that you do is a purpose. What if we are able to do everything passionately irrespective of whatever we are doing. What this realisation did for me and potentially can do for everyone is, it actually helped me to function better in all my roles like as a IT manager and as a Therapist. I stopped comparing one to be better than the other and enjoyed doing both. Earlier it was sort of a struggle like maybe I am not supposed to do this, maybe I am supposed to do that instead, is this right?, is that wrong? I think instead of helping me it was just taking up my energy, just holding me back. So the judgement around all of this has started dropping I feel.
And I invite you my friends to explore the possibility what if everything that you do is a purpose i.e cooking food, taking care of near and dear ones, being a manager, being a healer, a driver, a player and what if we could do everything with the same passion So what would happen if I am passionate about eating, drinking, teaching kids, arguing, my IT work, my therapy work, meeting people, attending seminars, cooking food, exercising, wearing shoes, driving my car, taking the public transport, sipping tea, shopping, analyzing, reading, writing blogs, managing, planning, following, browsing, even complaining (would advise not to put too much passion in it though :-). Then everything becomes a purpose whether it is planned or unplanned, success or failure, doing or not doing, being or not being. So explore that my friends, working with everything as a purpose rather than waiting and looking for that one single thing or some special things. Strengthening everyone for finding the self passion, as the purpose is already there it seems, by being here, by virtue of having this life.
